Phragmipedium warszewiczianum var wallisii x Phragmipedium anguloi

A primary hybrid of Phrag. warszewiczianum var. wallisii and Phrag. anguloi, combining the dramatically elongated, spiraling petal tails of the former with the robust, well-formed pouch and compact habit of the latter. The erect, concave dorsal sepal frames long, narrow lateral petals that extend horizontally before tapering into sweeping, ribbon-like tails — a slipper orchid of rare elegance and striking proportions.

  • Light: Bright indirect light with 50–70% shade cloth; avoid direct sun, which can scorch the strap-like foliage.
  • Temperature: 55–75°F (13–24°C); a Warm to Intermediate grower with a minimum tolerance around 50°F (10°C).
  • Humidity: 60–80%; maintain good air circulation to prevent fungal issues at the crown.
  • Watering: Keep the medium evenly moist at all times; Phragmipediums do not tolerate drying out. Use low-mineral water when possible.

Additional Notes

Best grown in a medium pot with a well-draining, moisture-retentive mix (perlite-heavy bark or sphagnum blend). Plants are shipped bare root and well-established.
