The large epiphyllous bloom features a broad, globose dorsal sepal with densely ciliate margins forming a hood over a fused synsepal that opens into four diverging, pointed lobes, with a well-defined column and petals visible in the interior.

• Temperature: 52–70°F (11–21°C); a cool to intermediate grower with a minimum tolerance around 46°F (8°C).
• Humidity: 80–90%; maintain consistently high humidity with good air circulation to prevent fungal issues.
• Watering: Keep roots evenly moist at all times; water frequently and avoid any prolonged dry periods.
