Lepanthes Tomas Bajza

A floriferous hybrid of Lths. matamorosii × Lths. dalessandroi. It produces successive flowers on slender peduncles with a long lanceolate acuminate dorsal sepal curving backward into a filiform tip, broad rounded lateral sepals curving downward into slender tails, a finely granular iridescent surface, and bilobed petals with a complex labellum at the center.

  • Light: Bright indirect light with 50–70% shade cloth; avoid direct sun, which can damage the delicate foliage.
  • Temperature: 55–72°F (13–22°C); an Intermediate grower that benefits from good air circulation and stable temperatures.
  • Humidity: 75–90%; maintain consistently high humidity — ideal for terrariums or humid intermediate setups.
  • Watering: Water frequently to keep the medium evenly moist; avoid prolonged dryness, as Lepanthes roots are sensitive to dehydration.

Additional Notes

Best grown mounted on cork or in a small net pot with fine sphagnum moss. Its elegant floral form and compact habit make it an excellent terrarium subject. Plants are shipped bare root and well-established.
